The Natural Reserve Zingaro

The Natural Reserve Zingaro offers spectacular views and heavenly beaches hidden between the rugged rocks. Four museums inform about prehistoric settlements, wildlife and endemic plants. The Zingaro was founded 1980 after strong protests of environmental groups against a planned street as the first protected landscape in Sicily. The coast is extremely interesting for diving. The diving centre Cetaria offers excursions by boat to the most interesting places in the Zingaro.
